Student Visa Categories

According to Australian Migration Act 1958 and Migration Regulation 1994, Australia's Student visa program has been classified into seven Visa Subclasses. Each visa subclass has specific academic, financial and English proficiency requirements. Before you applying visa in Australian High Commission, you must have to determine which student visa subclass you are applying for.

Non Award Program
  1. Enabling course: non-award foundation studies
  2. Other full-time course or components of courses not leading to an Australian award

AusAID and Defence
  1. Full-time courses of any type undertaken by an AusAID or Defence student sponsored by the Australian Government
